2 The Appellant sought to know the number of soldiers killed in action, missing in action as well as steps adopted for tracing them out lost for the period from year 2010 to 2017.
Grounds for the Second Appeal:
The CPIO has not provided the desired information.

The following were present:- Appellant: Not present.
Respondent (1): Col. B.S. Ghorpade, CPIO and Lt Col Kamal Kapoor, GSO-1(RTI), IHQ of MoD (Army), New Delhi present in person.
Respondent (2): Wg Cdr Suman Adhikari, CPIO and Kumar Saumya, SO PS, IHQ of MoD (Air), New Delhi present in person.
Respondent (3): Cdr-At-Arms V.K. Rana, CPIO and Cdr S. Chatterjee, Cdr( Nav Ops), IHQ of MoD (Navy), New Delhi present in person. Respondent (1) submitted that he will abide by the orders of the Commission. Respondents (2 & (3) submitted that appropriate information has been provided to the Appellant.
Decision
Commission has gone through the case records and upholds the replies of Respondents (2 & (3). Respondent (1) is directed to provide relevant and available information sought in the RTI Application to the Appellant free of cost within 15 days of receipt of this order. A compliance report to this effect shall dully be sent to the Commission by the Respondent (1). The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
