Status of application for issue of new Smart Card for CSD and other related information - CIC: The appellant failed to point out what information he was not able to find on the CSD website; Advised to approach the appropriate forum for grievance redressal
The appellant has sought the following information:
1. Provide details regarding actual position of his application for issue of new Smart Card for CSD.
2. Provide the actual time taken for processing of the application.
3. Whether purchasing of all AFD items (two wheeler, four wheeler, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, TV A/C etc.) at a time are permitted or not?
4. And other related information.
Grounds for filing Second Appeal:
The CPIO did not provide the desired information.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The appellant submitted that he is aggrieved with the reply. However, he failed to point out the deficiency in the reply. The CPIO submitted that a suitable point-wise reply was sent to the appellant on 01.10.2021. On a query he submitted that the RTI application and the first appeal were received in their office in Sep 2021 and hence, the delay in providing a reply.
The Commission observed that the CPIO who received the application initially failed to transfer the same and hence the delay. Moreover, the appellant also failed to point out what information he was not able to find on the CSD website. He was advised to approach the appropriate forum to redress his grievance relating to facilities in CSD Card.
In view of the fact that no deficiency in the information given could be pointed out, the Commission cannot provide any relief.
The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
