Use of RTI by celebrities for solving their personal issues
25 Jan, 2013This document is one of the clinching evidence in the fight of Dimple Kapadia in her fight against the 'other woman'. Earlier, Anita had filed a case under the Domestic Violence Act against Dimple, Twinkle and Rinkie and Akshay Kumar. She had also claimed that she was in a "relationship" with the late Rajesh Khanna since 2003 and performed all social and religious obligations of a wife and has demanded a share of his property.
The family of Rajesh Khanna, represented by Advocates Shirish Gupte, Mahesh Jethmalani and Girish Kulkarni, has argued that Anita was actually married to some Mr Rodricks. A reply under the Right to Information (RTI) Act from the Slum Rehabilitation Authority shows Anita as Anita F Rodricks. Anita's name has been mentioned under the column 'Spouse Name/ Second Name', Rodricks Victor Anthony’s name appears under the column 'Head of the family'. The photograph of Anita Advani alongside that of Victor Anthony has also been provided. An allotment letter issued by developer Steven Fernandez in August 2004 to "Smt Anita Rodricks", informing her about the flat against a slum tenement held by the Rodricks family in Kitkatwadi, Bandra West has also been provided.
Meanwhile Anita has claimed that there are many Anitas and many Rodricks.
