13 Jan, 2020Information Sought:
The appellant has sought the action taken report on the letter number 00346/KV.KNK/2017-18/456 dated 25.11.2017 sent by the appellant in regard to the correction of name in CBSE certificate.
Grounds for Second Appeal
The CPIO did not provide the desired information.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The appellant submitted that the correction of his name in the CBSE certificate was done by the respondent authority though delayed by over a year and a half. The CPIO submitted that the grievance of the appellant was redressed properly.
Observations:
Having heard the submissions of both the parties, it is noted that since the grievance of the appellant was redressed and the appellant is satisfied with the same, the Commission does not find any scope for intervention in the matter. However, the CPIO should note that the reply/information must be supplied within the time limit as laid down in the RTI Act. Interim replies have to be followed up with final relies as soon as possible, without the appellant needing to send any reminder in this regard.
Decision:
Based on the above observations, the appeal is accordingly dismissed.
