Amount of loan and address of borrowers to be disclosed

The Appellant sought some information regarding the borrowers under the KCC scheme of a particular branch of a bank during a certain period. The PIO had provided some information. The appellant claimed the address of the borrowers was not provided. He also submitted that not much information had been provided about the payments made by the insurance company against these loans since a certain percentage of the loan had already been paid by way of insurance premium.

Keeping in view the fact that loans under the KCC involve some concession by the way of interest rate subvention, the Commission directed to provide a printout of the borrowers containing their address, the amount of loan sanctioned and the amount of insurance premium paid for each one of them. The Commission also directed to provide the photocopies of the correspondence made by the bank with the insurance company for release of insurance amount against these loans.
