Vide RTI dt 18.9.13, appellant had sought information relating to rules which make it mandatory for pillion rider to wear a helmet.
2. CPIO vide letter dt 7.10.13, provided a response.
3. An appeal was filed on 10.10.13.
4. AA vide order dt 23.10.13, upheld the decision of the PIO.
5. Submissions made by the appellant and public authority were heard. Appellant submitted that he has not been provided a copy of the order relating to the information sought and only an extract has been provided. FAA submitted that the Army order relates to various security issues and also refers to the wearing of helmets by the driver and the pillion rider.
DECISION
6. The Commission directs PIO to provide only that portion of the Army order which relates to the information sought by the appellant, indicating the date and number of the Army order. The above directions be complied with within ten days from date of receipt of the order. The appeal is disposed of.
