DoPT to discuss issues relating to Compendium on Best Practises on RTI
15 Jul, 2013A meeting is going to be held under the chairmanship of Shri Manoj Joshi, Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) will be held on today to discuss RTI related issues. Earlier, on May 14, the DoPT had invited write ups from citizens regarding the best practises adopted by the public authorities all over the country. 20 such best practices would get a prize of Rs 25,000/- and they would be compiledas a compendium.
The invitees include serving and retired officers and representatives of NGO’s. The invitees are - Shri K.G Verma, Joint Secretary (Retd); Smt Anuradha S. Chagti, Director; Prof Shekhar Singh, NCPRI; Dr. Rajesh Tandon, PRIA; Ms. Maja Daruwal, CHRI; Dr. N. Bhaskara Rao, Centre for Media Studies; and Dr Anuradha Verma, President, RTI Foundation. MEETING NOTICE
A meeting under the chairmanship of Shri Manoj Joshi, Joint Secretary, will be held on Monday, the 15 th July, 2013 at 12 noon in his chamber (Room No. 193) North Block, New Delhi to discuss issues relating to Compendium on Best Practises on Right to Information and other RTI related issues. In this connection a copy of DOPT’s circular dated 14.5.2013 inviting write-ups from Indian Citizens on best practises adopted by Public Authorities is enclosed.
