2. The Appellant filed an RTI application dt.5.8.12 with the PIO, DTC seeking information against nine points regarding appointment to post in DTC in relation to Deceased DTC employees dependants. On not receiving any reply, the Appellant filed an appeal dt.17.9.12 with the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority vide order dt.22.11.12 directed the PIO to provide information against points 1,3,4,6,7 and 9 within ten days. On not receiving any reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.13.12.12 before CIC.
Decision
3. The Commission on perusal of the documents on record directs the PIO to comply with the order of the Appellate Authority within ten days of receipt of this order.
4. The PIO is also directed to show cause as to why penalty u/s 20 should not be imposed upon him for not complying with the order of the Appellate Authority within the time limit specified by the AA. He is directed to submit his written explanation so as to reach the Commission within three weeks of receipt of this order.
5. The Commission ordered accordingly.
