RTI application seeking information regarding Daily Diary entry
The appellant filed an application under the Right to Information (RTI) Act with the Delhi Police seeking information regarding Daily Diary (DD) entry.
During the hearing before the Central Information Commission (CIC), the appellant submitted that he has received all documents except a copy of the statement made by his sister in law recorded by the ASI. The respondent stated that all the documents have been provided to the appellant and that no statement was recorded by the police except a DD entry which has also been made available to the appellant.

The Commission directed the PIO to obtain a written statement from the ASI on whether he recorded the statement of his sister-in-law and provide the authenticated copy of it to the appellant.
